NOTE: This article is applicable to Sky customers. If you are a MiCloud customer, see the article Managing Phone Numbers for information about using the Phone Numbers screen in the Account Portal.
The Phone Numbers screen in the Sky Account Portal provides Authorized Contacts (Decision Makers and Phone Managers), access to the following two tabs:
- Numbers - Click the Numbers tab to search for and optionally export data related to all the phone numbers for all the locations within your account. For details, read the rest of this article.
- Requests - Click the Requests tab to create transfer requests and to view existing transfer requests. Transfer requests are now required to port phone numbers from other telecom service providers to your Sky account. For detailed instructions and a video, see the article Phone Number Transfer Requests.
You can also order new local and toll-free numbers for your organization. For more information, see the
Adding Phone Numbers article.
View Phone Numbers
To view a list of all the phone numbers within your account:
- Log in to Account Portal using your business email address (username) and password.
- Navigate to Phone System > Phone Numbers, which opens the Phone Numbers screen.
The Phone Numbers screen displays following fields:
- Number - Displays the 10-digit phone number.
- Location - Displays the location associated with this phone number (click to display the location on a map).
- Name - This is the name associated with the phone profile that is assigned to this phone number.
- Type - Indicates the type of phone profile that is assigned to this phone number. Valid values include All, Unassigned, Managed, Analog, Virtual, Courtesy, Monitoring, Voicemail, Programming, Fax, Test, and other miscellaneous (internal) values.
- Status - Displays the status of each phone number. Valid values include All, Active, Aging, Available, Reserved, Pending port in, Pending port out, Ported out, and other miscellaneous (internal) values.
- To find the phone numbers for a specific location in the Phone Numbers page, select the location from the Location drop-down list located above the toolbar.
- To find a specific phone number, type the search criteria in the Number, Location, Name, or Search field.
- To filter the results by type of phone profile associated with phone numbers, select a Phone profile from the drop-down list.
- To filter the results by the status of phone numbers, select a Status from the drop-down list.
Configuring a Maintenance Re-route Number
Any user can configure a maintenance re-route number for phone numbers with all statuses (Active, Pending, Available, etc.) in an account so that incoming phone calls are forwarded to this re-route number when the system is not available. To configure the maintenance re-route number, you must use the Edit Maintenance Re-route Number option. To add or delete the maintenance re-route numbers, do the following.
Export Phone Numbers
You can export a list of all phone numbers assigned to your account or you can filter the list and export a subset of phone numbers assigned to your account.
- Click the Export button in the toolbar
- In the dialog box that appears, follow the prompt to either open or save the TnDetail.csv file to your computer.
NOTE: If any of the columns in the TnDetail.csv file display data as #######, widen the columns to view the actual data.
