Phone Log In and Log Out

In the Sky phone system, you can log into any supported IP 400 series phone or Cisco 7900-series phone using your assigned phone number and phone/voicemail PIN. Follow the instructions below for the brand of phones being used in your phone system.

NOTE: When logging into a phone for the first time using the default PIN for your organization's phone system, you may be prompted to change your PIN. Note that the default phone PIN matches the last five digits of your organization's Sky account number, which is displayed in the top-center panel of the Account Details screen.

Log In

If the phone displays a login or assign screen, do the following:

Using IP 400 Series Phones

  1. Press the Assign softkey to display the Assign user screen.
  2. Enter your extension or full 10-digit phone number.
  3. Press the Next soft key.
  4. Enter your phone/voicemail PIN.
    NOTE: If you forgot your PIN, see the Reset Phone/Voicemail PIN section of the Password Management article.
  5. Press the OK soft key.
    The phone displays your name and extension.

Using Cisco 7900 Series Phones

  1. Press the Services button (globe icon) to display the Login screen.
  2. Enter your full 10-digit phone number in the Subscriber field.
  3. Use the blue toggle button to move to the Password field below.
  4. Enter your phone/voicemail PIN.
    NOTE: If you forgot your PIN, see the Reset Phone/Voicemail PIN section of the Password Management article.
  5. Press the Accept softkey.
    The phone displays a welcome screen and reboots using your phone number.

Log Out

If the phone displays a number that is not yours and you want to log in with your number, do the following:

Using IP 400-Series Phones

  1. Press the Options soft key, which opens the Options menu.
  2. Use the navigation keypad to scroll to and highlight the Unassign user option.
  3. Press the Unassign softkey.
  4. At the prompt, press the Unassign softkey again.
  5. Your extension is unassigned from the phone.
  6. Follow the instructions above to Log In (Using IP 400-Series Phones).

Using Cisco 7900-Series Phones

  1. Press the Services button (globe icon).
  2. In the Services Menu, scroll down to highlight the Logout option.
  3. Press the Select soft key.
  4. Confirm by pressing the OK soft key.
  5. Follow the instructions above to Log In (Using Cisco Phones).
