Letter of Authorization, also known as Letter of Agency or Number Transfer Request, is a document or form that is exchanged between telecom companies, or between a customer and a telecom company, granting permission for the receiver to install telecom services for the sender.
A signed Letter of Authorization or Number Transfer Request form allows RingCentral to request a CSR (Customer Service Record) on behalf of the customer.
When a new customer requests Local Number Portability (LNP) service, the required form is typically provided to the customer in advance and then reviewed during the Kickoff Meeting.
When transferring phone numbers to a MiCloud/Sky phone system, completing the required form enables RingCentral to work with our new customer's existing or previous telecom service provider(s).
