Directories for Cisco Phones

The Cisco phone used in your Sky phone system maintains a history of calls and contacts in multiple directories. Your Cisco phone provides access to the following directories:

  • Missed Calls - Shows unanswered inbound call history including caller ID, time, and date of calls, and enables you to call back your recent missed calls.
  • Received Calls - Shows inbound call history including caller ID, time, and date of calls, and enables you to call back your recently received calls.
  • Placed Calls - Shows outbound call history including caller ID, time, and date of calls, and enables you to redial your recently placed calls.
  • Personal Phonebook - Serves as your own customizable personal address book that is viewable on your phone's display and can contain listings for people internal and external to your company.
  • Employee Directory - Provides a list of names and extensions at your company. Calls may be placed directly from the Directory.
  • Company Phonebook - Provides a list of external contacts for your company, maintained by your administrator. Calls may be placed directly from the Phonebook.

Accessing the Directories

To access the directories on your Cisco 79xx phone:

  1. Select the Directories button on your phone. (The Directories button displays an icon of an open book.)
  2. When the list of available directories is displayed, highlight the directory you want to access using the scroll button.
  3. Press the Select soft key.
    • After you select a directory, you can dial any of the listed entries by pressing the Dial soft key.
    • Within any of the call log directories, you can see the date and time of the call by allowing the phone to sit idle for 3 seconds.
