Pickup groups allow MiCloud users to answer any ringing extension within a specified group directly from any other extension in the same pickup group. For example, if a group member is away from her desk and across the room when her phone rings, she can quickly answer the call from another person's phone.
Similarly, if she is out of the office and her phone rings, anyone can answer the call from another phone in the pickup group and take a note for her. Users are added to a pickup group using an extension list. Users are added to the extension list and then the extension list is associated with a pickup group. For information about creating extension lists, see Configuring Extension Lists.
NOTE: In order for a user to have access to pickup functionality, the user must also be assigned to a user group with the Allow Call Pickup telephony setting enabled. For more information about enabling Allow Call Pickup for a user group, see Managing User Groups.
- Log in to the Account Portal.
- On the Phone System menu, click Visual Call Flow Editor.
- Do one of the following:
- To edit an existing pickup group, click the name of the pickup group in the list, and then click Edit on the toolbar.
- To create a copy of an existing pickup group, click the name of the pickup group in the list, and then click Copy on the toolbar.
- To create a new pickup group, click Add on the toolbar, and then click Pickup Group.
The parameters for the new or existing pickup group are displayed in the Editor Panel. - Specify the values as appropriate. (For more information about the pickup group parameters, see the Pickup Groups Parameters table.)
- Click Finish (located below the interactive diagram).

| Name | Specifies the name of the pickup group. |
| Extension | Specifies the extension number for the pickup group; this field populates automatically with the next available extension on your account.
This extension is invalid and acts only as an identifier within the system; it is not a dialable extension and calls cannot be parked to this extension.
NOTE: When the pickup group configuration is saved, a programming profile is created automatically using the entered extension. |
| Location | Specifies the location that the programming profile for the pickup group is assigned to. |
| Extension list | In the drop-down list, select the extension list to use for the pickup group. Calls to any extension included in this extension list can be picked up from the same or any other extension included in this extension list.
