MiCloud MS Teams Integration enables direct routing integration of MiCloud's advanced telephony capabilities with Microsoft Teams.
NOTE: MiCloud MS Teams Integration is available for Telephony, Essentials, Premier, and Elite phone services. Users must have one of these phone service types to use MiCloud MS Teams Integration. MiCloud MS Teams Integration has a one-time setup charge for US and Canada; there are no monthly charges. However, MiCloud MS Teams Integration is not available for MiCloud Education Essentials and MiCloud Education Premier services.
If you are a Decision Maker or Phone Manager, you can activate MiCloud MS Teams Integration for users. However, you must have a Microsoft account to continue with the integration by clicking the Settings option. Other users do not have the permissions to activate MiCloud MS Teams Integration for users. The following message appears if they try to activate MiCloud MS Teams Integration:
You cannot access this application to complete Activation. If you need to perform this task, please ask your Microsoft Account admin to grant permission.
Activating MiCloud MS Teams Integration
To activate MiCloud MS Teams Integration for your account:
NOTE: MiCloud MS Teams Integration is not available by default for Australian accounts. To enable or to activate MiCloud MS Teams Integration for Australian accounts, contact Support.
- In the Account Console menu, click Add-On Apps, and then click Manage Add-Ons. The Manage Add-Ons page opens.
- Scroll to MiCloud Connect MS Teams Integration and click Activate. A pop-up window will appear.
- In the pop-up window that opens, watch the product demo video that appears, scroll down and select the I accept Terms and Conditions checkbox and click OK to activate MiCloud Connect MS Teams Integration for your account.
NOTE: The OK option is only available after the video is complete.
MiCloud MS Teams Integration Settings
To access MiCloud MS Teams Integration settings:
- In the Account Console menu, click Add-On Apps, and then click Manage Add-Ons. The Manage Add-Ons page opens.
- Scroll to MiCloud Connect MS Teams Integration and click Settings. The MiCloud Integration Portal page opens with an authentication request to authenticate the user identity with Microsoft. If the user has an authorized Microsoft Office 365 account, the authentication will be successful and the Getting Started page opens.
- Enable synchronization of users. For more information, see Activating MiCloud for Microsoft Teams.
Managing MiCloud Connect MS Teams Integration for Users
You can manage MiCloud MS Teams Integration for users on your account in the following ways:
- View a list of users that have MiCloud MS Teams Integration enabled.
- Enable Connect MS Teams Integration for individual users within your organization.
- Disable Connect MS Teams Integration for users.
Viewing a List of Users with Access to Connect MS Teams Integration
To view users with access to MS Teams Integration:
- In the Account Console menu, click Add-On Apps, and then click Manage Add-Ons. The Manage Add-Ons page opens.
- On the Manage Add-Ons page, scroll to MiCloud Connect MS Teams Integration, and click Manage. The Connect MS Teams Integration Users page opens displaying the list of users who have access to Connect MS Teams Integration..
Enabling Connect MS Teams Integration for a User
You can enable Connect MS Teams Integration for individual users from the
Connect MS Teams Integration Users page.
NOTE: MiCloud Connect MS Teams Integration is included with and enabled automatically for users with Telephony, Essentials, Premier, and Elite phone services. Users must have one of these phone service types to use MiCloud Connect MS Teams Integration. MiCloud Connect MS Teams Integration has a one-time setup charge of $10 USD; there are no monthly charges.
To enable Connect MS Teams Integration for individual users:
- In the Account Console menu, click Add-On Apps, and then click Manage Add-Ons. The Manage Add-Ons page opens.
- In the Manage Add-Ons page, scroll to MiCloud Connect MS Teams Integration, and click Manage. The Connect MS Teams Integration Users page opens.
- In the Connect MS Teams Integration Users page, click Add. The Add Connect MS Teams Integration page opens.
- In the Add Connect MS Teams Integration page, under the Select Users panel, enter the name, number, or extension of the user for whom you want to enable Connect MS Teams Integration, and click Add to add the user.
- Click Save & Place Order.
- In the Review Add Order page that opens, select Place Order to enable Connect MS Teams Integration for the user.
To enable MiCloud MS Teams Integration when adding a new user, in the
Add-Ons section, enable
MiCloud Connect MS Teams Integration. For information about adding a user, see
MiCloud User Setup.
Disabling MiCloud MS Teams Integration for a User
You can disable MiCloud MS Teams Integration for individual users from the
Connect MS Teams Integration Users page.
To disable MiCloud MS Teams Integration for individual users:
- In the Account Console menu, click Add-On Apps, and then click Manage Add-Ons. The Manage Add-Ons page opens.
- In the Manage Add-Ons page, scroll to MiCloud Connect MS Teams Integration, click Manage. The Connect MS Teams Integration Users page opens.
- Select the user for whom you want to disable Connect MS Teams Integration and then click Remove.
- In the Confirm Changes page that opens, click Confirm to disable MS Teams Integration for the selected user.
