NOTE: This article is applicable only to MiCloud Account Console users. It describes configuring call routing settings in the MiCloud Account Portal.
As a MiCloud user, you can configure your main call routing settings, including configured phones, current Mobility (if configured), Simultaneous Ring, and Find Me settings from the Call Routing tab on the Phone Settings page of the Account Portal. For information about logging in to Account Portal, see MiCloud Account Portal.
The Call Routing tab is divided into the following subtabs for viewing and editing call routing settings:
- Availability Routing — contains settings for routing calls based on availability state
- Power Routing — contains settings for routing calls based on specific conditions; Power Routing settings override Availability Routing settings
Configuring Main Call Routing Settings
As a MiCloud user, you can configure your main call routing settings, including your configured phones, current Mobility (if configured), Simultaneous Ring, and Find Me settings in the Account Portal.
- (Administrators only) On the Account Console dashboard, click the
(Settings) icon at the top right corner of the page, and then click My Settings. The Account Portal opens in a new tab. - On the Account Portal Home menu, under Settings, click Phone Settings, and then click the Call Routing tab.
- Click Configure Main Settings.
The Configure Main Settings dialog box appears. - In the Mobility panel, do the following:
NOTE: The Mobility panel is only displayed if Mobility is configured for the user.
- Select My device with Mobility will not have a number associated with it.
- Click Next to continue to the next panel or Finish to save the changes and close the dialog box.
- In the Configure Phones panel, do the following:
- Click Add.
A new line is added to the phones table.
NOTE: If Mobility is enabled for the user, a phone is automatically configured for the Mobility app; this line cannot be deleted. - In the Label column, type a short description of the phone.
- In the Phone Number column, begin typing a telephone number, name, or extension and then do one of the following:
- Click the desired user, phone number, or extension when it appears in the drop-down list.
- Click Make an external call to when it appears in the drop-down list, and then finish entering the desired external phone number.
- In the Rings column, select the number of times to ring the phone before ending the call.
This setting applies to Simultaneous Ring and Find Me operations. - In the Press 1 to connect column, do one of the following:
- Select the check box to require that a caller press “1” to initiate Find Me.
- Clear the check box to initiate Find Me automatically.
- Click Next. to continue to the next panel or Finish to save the changes and close the dialog box.
- In the Simultaneous Ring panel, do the following:
- In the Also simultaneously ring these numbers drop-down lists, select one or two numbers to use for the simultaneous ring.
NOTE: The numbers selected here are used anywhere Simultaneous Ring is enabled. A maximum of two extensions can be selected for the simultaneous ring; if Mobility is enabled for a user, the Mobility extension is used as one of the two extensions. - Click Next to continue to the next panel or Finish to save the changes and close the dialog box.
- In the Find Me panel, do the following:
NOTE: The Find Me panel is only displayed if Mobility has not been configured for the user.
- Select one of the following:
- Ring my Find Me numbers sequentially before playing my voicemail — to initiate Find Me before playing your voicemail greeting to a caller
- Play my voicemail greeting first — to play your voicemail greeting and require the caller to press “1” before initiating Find Me
- Select the Send incoming caller ID check box to enable caller ID for incoming Find Me calls.
- Select the Prompt the caller to record their name check box to prompt callers to record their name; the recording is played back to the user when confirming an incoming call.
- Under My Find Me numbers that will be used sequentially, select the first number to direct the call to in the top list and the second number to direct the call to in the bottom list.
The phones that are available for Find Me are configured on the Configure Phones panel as described in step 3. - Click Finish to save the settings and close the dialog box.
