As a MiCloud Administrator, you can add and remove individual phones, order hardware, view the list of phones, and edit the user details associated with phones in your account.

NOTE: All phones manually registered to a MiCloud phone system will need to be re-registered if unplugged or without power for 7 days or longer. Phones registered by adding the MAC address in the Account Console do not have this limitation and will retain their registration indefinitely.

NOTE: For information about ordering phones and accessories, see Ordering Phones.

Adding a Phone

  1. On the Account Console menu, click Hardware.
    The Hardware page opens.
  2. In the Hardware page, click Quick ActionsAdd Device. The Add Device page opens.
  3. In the Add Device page, complete the following fields:
    • Device Type - select Phone as the device type
    • Device MAC Address - enter the MAC address of the phone
      NOTE: The Device MAC Address field is mandatory and allows you to automatically sync your orders.
    • User - in this field do the following:
      1. Enter the name of the user in the User field
      2. Select the location of the phone in the Location field
        NOTE: The Location field is mandatory if the phone is anonymous.
  4. Click Add Device to add the phone. Repeat the procedure to add more phones
    The phone added that you added will appear on the Hardware page.

Viewing a List of Phones

You can view a list of all phones in your account and information about each phone on the Hardware page of the Account Console.

The Hardware page displays the following information:
  • Phones - The list of phones in your account
    • Model - the phone model
    • MAC Address - the MAC address associated with the phone
    • Assigned User - the user who is currently assigned to the phone
    • Logged In User - the user who is currently logged into the phone
    • Location - the geographic location of the phone
  • ATA and DECT Phones - The list of ATAs and DECT phones in your account
To view a list of hardware in your account, do the following:
  • On the Account Console menu, click Hardware.
    The Hardware page opens displaying the list of phones in your account.

Deleting Phones

To delete a phone from your account:
  1. On the Account Console menu, click Hardware.
    The Hardware page opens displaying a list of phones in your account.
  2. Select the row containing details of the phone you want to delete. 
  3. On the page that opens, click Delete to delete the phone from your account.

Rebooting Phones

To reboot a phone from your account:
  1. On the Account Console menu, click Hardware.
    The Hardware page opens displaying a list of phones in your account.
  2. Select the check box next to the phone you want to reboot. You can select multiple phones for reboot.
    NOTE: You can reboot 6900 series and 400 series phones only. 
  3. Click Quick Actions > Reboot Phone; an alert dialog box opens.
  4. Click Yes to confirm that you want to reboot the phone.

Changing the User Assigned to a Phone

You can change the user assigned to a phone on the Hardware page of the Account Console.

To change the user assigned to a phone, do the following:

  1. On the Account Console menu, click Hardware.
    The Hardware page opens.
  2. Under the Phones section, click the row containing the phone whose user details you want to edit.
    A page with the user details of the selected phone opens.
    NOTE: You can view information about each user by clicking the <username> in the Logged in user field. For more information about editing user details in your account, see the Editing User Details article.
  3. Under Configuration, type and select an existing user to whom you want to assign the phone.
    NOTE: After selecting an existing user, the location linked to that user is auto-populated in the Select Location field.
  4. Click Save to update the user details.
