MiCloud for Microsoft Teams enables direct routing integration of MiCloud's advanced telephony capabilities with Microsoft Teams. 

NOTE: MiCloud MS Teams Integration is available for Telephony, Essentials, Premier, and Elite phone services. Users must have one of these phone service types to use MiCloud MS Teams Integration. MiCloud MS Teams Integration has a one-time setup charge; there are no monthly charges. However, MiCloud MS Teams Integration is not available for MiCloud Education Essentials and MiCloud Education Premier services.

If you are a Decision Maker or Phone Manager, you can activate MiCloud MS Teams Integration for users. However, you must have a Microsoft account to continue with the integration by clicking the Settings option. Other users do not have the permissions to activate MiCloud MS Teams Integration for users. The following message appears if they try to activate MiCloud MS Teams Integration:

You cannot access this application to complete Activation.  If you need to perform this task, please ask your Microsoft Account admin to grant permission.

Activating MiCloud MS Teams Integration

To activate MiCloud MS Teams Integration for your account:

  1. In the Phone System menu, click Add-On Features. The Add-On Features page opens.
  2. Scroll to MiCloud MS Teams Integration and click Activate. A pop-up window opens.
  3. In the pop-up window, watch the product demo video that appears, select the I accept Terms and Conditions check box, and click OK to activate MiCloud MS Teams Integration for your account.
    NOTE: The OK option is only available after the video is complete.

MiCloud MS Teams Integration Settings

To access MiCloud MS Teams Integration settings:

  1. In the Phone System menu, click Add-On Features.
  2. Scroll to MiCloud MS Teams Integration and click Settings. The Integration Portal page opens with an authentication request to authenticate the user identity with Microsoft. If the user has an authorized Microsoft Office 365 account, the authentication will be successful and the Getting Started page opens.
  3. Enable synchronization of users. For more information, see Activating MiCloud for Microsoft Teams.

Managing MiCloud MS Teams Integration for Users

You can manage MiCloud MS Teams Integration for users on your account in the following ways:

  • View a list of users for whom MS Teams Integration is enabled.
  • Enable MS Teams Integration for individual users within your organization.
  • Disable MS Teams Integration for users in the account.

Viewing Users for Whom Access to MiCloud MS Teams Integration Is Enabled

You can view a list of users for whom MiCloud MS Teams Integration is enabled. The following information is displayed on the MiCloud MS Teams Integration page:

  • Full Name
  • Phone Number
  • Extension

To view users for whom MiCloud MS Teams Integration is enabled:

  1. In the Phone System menu, click Add-On Features, and then click Manage to the right of MiCloud MS Teams Integration. The MiCloud MS Teams Integration page opens.
  2. To filter the list, do one of the following:
    • Type your filter criteria in the search field on the toolbar.
    • Type your filter criteria under the appropriate column heading.

Enabling MiCloud MS Teams Integration for Users

After MiCloud MS Teams Integration is activated for your account, you can enable MiCloud MS Teams Integration for users within your organization.
NOTE: MiCloud MS Teams Integration is available for Telephony, Essentials, Premier, and Elite phone services. Users must have one of these phone service types to use MiCloud MS Teams Integration. MiCloud MS Teams Integration has a one-time setup charge of $10 USD; there are no monthly charges.

To enable MiCloud MS Teams Integration for a user, you must confirm purchase of the Integration services. To do this:

  1. In the Phone System menu, click Add-On Features, and then click Manage to the right of MiCloud MS Teams Integration. The MiCloud MS Teams Integration page is displayed.
  2. In the MiCloud MS Teams Integration page, click Add. The Add MiCloud MS Teams Integration Users dialog box appears.
  3. In the Select Users panel, do the following:
    1. To search for a user, enter the name, number, or extension of the user in the Name or Number/Extension field.
    2. Select the check box next to each user for whom you want to enable MiCloud MS Teams Integration.
    3. Click Next.
  4. In the Summary panel, verify the displayed information and click Finish.
  5. When prompted, click OK to confirm the purchase. After you confirm the purchase, MiCloud MS Teams Integration is enabled for the selected users.  

To enable MiCloud MS Teams Integration for a new user, in the Phone panel, in the Add-On Apps section, select the MiCloud MS Teams Integration check box. For information about adding a user, see Adding Users.

Disabling MiCloud MS Teams Integration Settings for Users

To disable MiCloud MS Teams Integration for a user:

  1. In the Phone System menu, click Add-On Features, and then click Manage to the right of MiCloud MS Teams Integration.
  2. In the MiCloud MS Teams Integration page that opens, right-click the user for whom you want to disable MiCloud MS Teams Integration and then click Disable MiCloud MS Teams Integration. The Close MiCloud MS Teams Integration dialog box opens.
  3. In the Closing Services – Confirmation tab, click OK.
  4. When prompted, click OK to confirm that you want to disable MiCloud MS Teams Integration for the selected user.
    NOTE: When you click OK, the status of the disable request will be Billing Stopped. It will change to Closed on the date one month from the closure request.
