NOTE: This article is applicable only to MiCloud Account Console users. It describes viewing and editing voicemail settings in the MiCloud Account Portal.

As a MiCloud user, you can view and edit voicemail settings for your MiCloud profile. If you are a Full Administrator, you can also edit voicemail settings for other users on your account in the Account Portal.  For information about logging in to Account Portal, see MiCloud Account Portal.

For information about managing voicemail messages, see Managing Voicemail. For information about managing mailbox options using the voicemail system, see Managing Mailbox Options.

The following features can be customized from the Voicemail tab of the Account Portal:

  • Send Voicemail to Email — you can choose to send an email notification with or without an audio file whenever you receive a new voicemail message; you can also choose to mark the message as heard after a notification email is sent
  • Forward Voicemail — you can choose to forward voicemail messages to a different destination; you can also choose to automatically delete the message after the message is forwarded
  • Accept Broadcast Messages — you can choose whether or not to accept broadcast messages sent to all voicemail boxes
  • Play Message Envelope — you can choose whether or not to play the message envelope when you are listening to voicemail

Accessing Voicemail Settings

To access your voicemail setting:

  1. Log in to the Account Portal.
  2. On the Home menu, under Settings, click Phone Settings.
  3. Click the Voicemail tab.

To access voicemail settings for another user (Full Administrators only):

  1. Log in to the Account Portal.
  2. On the Phone System menu, click Users.
  3. Do one of the following:
    1. Click the name of the user's profile in the Service/Phone Name column.
    2. Right-click the row that contains the user's profile, and then click Phone Settings.
  4. Click the Voicemail tab.

Sending Voicemail to Email

  1. Select the Notification check box.
  2. In the Deliver list, select one of the following:
    • Send Notification Email — to send a notification email for each voicemail message that the user receives.
    • Send Email With Voicemail Message Attached — to send a notification email that includes the voicemail as a .wav audio file attachment.
  3. To mark the voicemail message as heard after sending the email notification, select the Mark as Heard check box.
  4. Click Save to save your settings.

Forwarding Voicemail

  1. Select the Forwarding check box.
  2. In the Destination field, type the destination phone number to forward the message to.

    NOTE:  The destination number must be a legal phone number with extension, formatted as follows: 2000005-1003

  3. To delete the voicemail message from the user’s voicemail box after forwarding the voicemail, select the Delete after Forward WAV check box.
  4. Click Save to save your settings.

Accepting Broadcast Messages

You can choose whether or not the user will receive broadcast messages sent to all voicemail boxes.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Select the Accept broadcast messages check box to have the user accept broadcast messages.
    • Clear the Accept broadcast messages check box if you do not want the user to receive broadcast messages.
  2. Click Save to save your settings.

Including Message Envelope

The time and sender information is given before each voicemail message is played; this is the message envelope. You can choose to turn this feature on or off.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Select the Play message envelope check box to play the message envelope when the user listens to voicemail.
    • Clear the Play message envelope check box if you do not want the user to hear the message envelope when listening to voicemail.
  2. Click Save to save your settings.
