When using a Cisco phone, you can record and change your voicemail greeting directly on the phone. For the following instructions, to select an option, you can use the phone's blue toggle button to scroll down and highlight the desired option, and then press the Select softkey.
- Press the Services (globe icon) button on the phone.
- In the Services menu, select Settings\.
- In the Settings menu, select User Preferences.
- In the User Preferences menu, select Change Greeting.
- In the Greeting Preferences menu, select from the following options:
- VM Greeting - Enables you to toggle between the following three options to change your voicemail greeting:
- Personal - Plays the custom message that you recorded.
- Name - Plays the name that you recorded followed by a system message that is similar to the System option.
- System - Plays a system-generated message that utilizes your recorded name and is the default setting for all new users.
- Recorded Personal - Enables you to play, record, and save your personal greeting.
- Recorded Name - Enables you to play, record, and save your name. When the VM Greeting is set to Name, the recorded name is followed by a system-generated message.
- Press the Exit softkey multiple times to navigate away from each of the accessed menus to return the phone to normal call-receiving mode.
