MiCloud Connect Scribe provides transcriptions of voicemail messages. The transcribed voicemail messages are sent in an email along with a .wav audio file.
NOTE: This article applies to MiCloud customers. For information about voicemail transcription for Sky customers, see Sky Scribe.
With MiCloud Connect Scribe, you can do the following:
- Read your voicemail: Receive and read transcribed voicemail messages sent to your business email address.
- Manage your messages: Manage voicemail messages the same way you manage emails; search for transcribed text, move to folders, archive, and flag for follow-up.
- Listen to your voicemails: Listen to your voicemail messages without logging into your voicemail system. A .wav audio file containing the entire voicemail message is sent to your email inbox along with the voicemail transcription.
- Throw out your notepad: Stop taking notes while listening to voicemails; message content such as important numbers and names are provided to you in the transcription.
The following process takes place when you have MiCloud Connect Scribe enabled.
NOTE: The message indicator light on your MiCloud phone remains illuminated after a voicemail message has been transcribed.
- A caller leaves a message in your voicemail box.
- The first 90 seconds of the message are transcribed by the Scribe service.

- A .wav audio file attachment for listening to the complete voicemail message
- A transcription of the first 90 seconds of the voicemail message
- A message summary showing the following:
- From - name and phone number of the caller
- To - name and phone number of the called party
- Time - day of the week, date, time, and time zone for the call
- Duration - length of the voicemail message
- Month-to-date usage statistics showing the number of messages and the amount of time for transcribed messages in the format of: hh:mm:ss

Transcription Processing Time
The approximate processing time required for the MiCloud Connect Scribe voicemail transcription service is approximately the greater of 5 minutes or 5 times the length of the voicemail message.
