Using Star Codes To Make Calls

« Go Back
Information

Star codes can be utilized when using phones to perform various actions in a MiCloud phone system.

External Assignment Codes

External Assignment, which is also known as Extension Assignment, is intended for remote users who often work outside of the office and need calls routed to an off-network device, such as a mobile phone or home office phone. The star codes listed below can be utilized to emulate analog extension actions.

NOTE: For the Transfer and Conference options listed below, when dialing an external destination (to someone outside of your organization's phone system), you need to dial the Trunk Access Code (also known as the Outbound Dial Digit), which is usually 9, followed by 1 and the 10-digit phone number. Note that the Trunk Access Code can be set to a number other than 9. Please check with your system administrator to confirm what it is set to.
