End of Teamwork video ecosystem integration with both Zoom and BlueJeans
Product Bulletin for this end of integration with Teamwork is PB2022Mar15B
End of integration of BlueJeans and Zoom with MiCloud Connect Teamwork.
As of March 11, 2022, Mitel will discontinue the integration of both BlueJeans and Zoom video conferences in Mitel MiCloud Connect Teamwork for customers, authorized contacts, and users of a MiCloud Connect phone system in North America.
On January 19, 2022 a required upgrade for Mitel MiCloud Connect to 213.100.5477.0 will begin.
MiCloud Connect force upgrades will start on January 19, 2022 to 213.100.5477.0 through to January 25, 2022. This build has been available to Customers as of Friday, January 7, 2022, as an optional upgrade. Mitel recommends to upgrade your client when prompted to avoid a forced upgrade mid-January. To upgrade today prior to the forced upgrade, please access RAY BAUM'S Act Documentation and Training for links.
Mitel MiCloud Connect to support dynamic e911 services in December.
Recent U.S. federal regulations will require MiCloud Connect to provide reliable location information with every 911 call. Mitel will provide service enhancements to the MiCloud Connect Portal and Account Console, desktop phones, and soft clients for this requirement through January 2022 .
Please review the above articles that include deployment steps required in BOSS/Portal in order to use the dynamic e911 functionality.
Dynamic E911 is not supported for MiCloud Connect Client installed on Windows 7 and 32-bit systems. Emergency calls made from these unsupported environments via softphone in the MiCloud Connect Client will be routed to a National E911 Call Center. If your call is directed to a National E911 Call Center, please do not hang up until you have provided your details.
For Customers using the non-admin installer for Connect Client, an initial installation of a Network Helper will be required that will needs installer/admin permissions. Please contact your system administrator for assistance with installing Network Helper.
Administrators may also choose to remotely install the software on Windows PCs/laptops; for more information, see this Microsoft article. If Network Helper is not installed, usage of the Connect Client will not be impacted. However, in this case we recommend using IP Phones for placing 911/emergency calls.
Why is the Connect Client installer not bundled with Mitel Network Helper? The Connect Client installer is not bundled with Mitel Network Helper due to the following reasons:
No non-admin version of Mitel Network Helper is available. Mitel offers both admin version and a non-admin version of Connect Client.
Bundling the Network Helper in the Connect Client installer resulted in technical challenges for the non-admin installer version of the Connect Client.
You can find step-by-step instructions on how to add and manage emergency locations via Connect Client in the Client User Guide.

As of August 31, 2021, Mitel will no longer offer the manual "redo" option with transcriptions as part of the Mitel Sky Scribe services.
Beginning August 31, 2021, Sky Scribe services will no longer include the "redo" option. The “redo” permits customers to receive a manual transcription of voicemails. This option is being removed because Mitel has improved the automated voicemail transcription accuracy and the option is now obsolete.
As of August 31, 2021, MiCloud Connect Telephony for Microsoft will be deprecated.
Beginning August 31, 2021, MiCloud Connect will no longer support Telephony for Microsoft. The Telephony for Microsoft plug-in presented a single interface to manage business communications using Microsoft Skype for Business and Lync as the primary collaboration client. This aligns with Microsoft’s strategy to gradually move users from Skype for Business and Lync to Microsoft Teams.
As of April 19, 2021, MiCloud Connect Client Non-Admin Option for Global Customers will be available
Global customers now have access to the non-admin installer for Connect Client as of build 213.100.5161.0.
Note: To download the non-admin installer, IT Admins will first have to remove the current Connect Client PC installer before the end-user can install the new non-admin package. (See
To access the non-admin installer, end-users can go to MiCloud Applications website. (The non-admin installer is now the default installer on this website). Note: For the installer that requires Admin privileges, Admins can download it from BOSS/Portal.
Auto upgrades for MiCloud Connect Client is a consideration that should be reviewed by the IT Administrative team with your organization. (see the article below for a comparison chart between Admin vs Non-Admin installers.)
As of April 1, 2021, customers who are using older Connect client versions 213.100.4958.0or 213.100.4956.0will not be able to enable Teamwork for new users.
Mitel strongly recommends MiCloud Connect customers running older client versions upgrade to the latest Connect client version as soon as possible to continue their seamless experience.
MiCloud Connect – End of Support for Office 2016 for Mac and Office 2010 for Mac & Window
Mitel is striving to improve security for customers and also to reduce environmental impact so we are moving to a paperless invoicing process. Effective October 1,2020.
Customers can opt-out of receiving paper invoices and avoid a fee of $4.95 per month, per invoice.
This will impact all US MiCloud Connect and Sky customers.
Modern login is supported only for Office 365 and Hybrid Exchange. (PREM will continue to use older username password method. No changes for PREM.)
Known Issues and Tips
Known Issues Affecting IP6900-Series Phones
There is an upgrade issue observed on 6940 phone models only. The issue occurs when the 6940 phone is running 5.2.1 or 5.2.1.SP2 firmware and attempts to upgrade to any 6.0.0 or 6.1.0 release.
Plantronics:
Not able to answer a call from Plantronics Voyager 5200.
Not able to hold a call from Plantronics B5200 (BT600) and Voyager Focus models.
On some Plantronics devices such as the Audio 628 USB, answering a second call by long pressing the button on the headset causes the first call to be disconnected.
Workaround: Answer the call via the Connect Client.
Starting from Connect Client 213.100.4860.0 when using Plantronics headsets, ensure that Audio Alerts is set to ON under Notifications->Sounds as shown below:
Roaming Profiles now supported.
SoftPhone:
Only one Softphone can be running on a computer at a time. Note: If you have Softphone activated on Connect Client, be sure to not log into the Chrome Extension.
With Connect Client 213.100.4860 there is an issue if a second headset is plugged into the computer during an active SoftPhone call. If the headset is a Plantronics or Jabra models, the headset buttons will not control the call.
Workaround: Use Connect Client to hold/unhold, mute/unmute and hang up.
