Information

The MiCloud Global Numbers service enables you to have a virtual presence in the countries where your clients are located. Global Numbers are inbound only and cannot be used to place outbound calls. You can obtain Global Numbers, DID or Toll-Free, and map those Global Numbers to call flow components in your local MiCloud phone system.

To request Global Numbers for your MiCloud phone system, contact Support.

Requirements and Restrictions

The Global Numbers service has the following requirements and restrictions:

  • Global Numbers are available for MiCloud  accounts only; they are not available for Sky customers.
  • Global Numbers are inbound-only DID or International Toll-Free Service (ITFS) numbers and cannot be used to place outbound calls.
  • Global Numbers can be mapped to the following call flow components:
    • Auto Attendants
    • Hunt Groups
    • Bridged Call Appearances
    • Users

    NOTE: Call Detail Records (CDR) data is not tracked for programming profiles; this includes Global Numbers that are DNIS mapped to users or other call flow components.

  • Global Numbers cannot be assigned as main line numbers for call flow components.
  • Global Numbers cannot be assigned to a user's phone profile as the primary number.
  • Global Numbers cannot be used for fax, calling card apps, or conferencing.
  • SMS and Fax are not supported for Global Numbers.

Global DID Numbers

Brazil The company may not be registered in Brazil.
Canada  
FranceNumbers may not be reachable from outside France.Valid end-user proof of ID and proof of address within the geographical area of the requested number are required. See Additional Requirements Information for more information.
Germany A local address is required in the city corresponding to the geographical zone of the requested number.
Proof of address is required. See Additional Requirements Information for more information.
India Numbers cannot be assigned to residents or companies registered in India.
Ireland The name and location of the end user (place of residence/business) corresponding to the relevant geographic zone are required.
Customer will submit the required address at the time of order and keep the information updated during use.
MalaysiaNumbers may not be reachable from mobile devices.
Numbers may not be reachable from outside the country.
Numbers cannot be assigned to residents or companies registered in Malaysia.
Customer has the obligation to be able to identify users of Malaysian numbers through trustworthy information.
MexicoNumbers may not be reachable from outside Mexico.Numbers may not be assigned to companies that have operations in Mexico.
Netherlands The location of the end user (place of residence/business) corresponding to relevant geographic zone is required. Customer will submit the required address at the time of order and keep the information updated during use.
New ZealandNumbers may not be reachable from outside New Zealand. 
PhilippinesNumbers may not be reachable from outside the country.The customer shall provide the end user's name and address before activation.
Customer shall keep the information updated during use.
PortugalNumbers are reachable from the following networks: Portugal Telecom, PT Prime, TMN mobile, ONI, Vodafone, Sonaecom - Novis, Colt, G9, ZON. 
SpainNumbers may not be reachable from outside the country.The name and location of the end user (place of residence/business) corresponding to the relevant geographic zone are required.
Customer will submit the required address at the time of order and keep the information updated during use.
SwitzerlandNumbers may not be reachable from outside the country.The name and location of the end user (place of residence/business) corresponding to the relevant geographic zone are required.
Customer will submit the required address at the time of order and keep the information updated during use.
United Kingdom  
United StatesNumbers may not be reachable from outside the country.Numbers are subject to a "use it or lose it" principle: unused numbers may be reclaimed upon a 5 days' notice.
 

Global ITFS Numbers

AustraliaNumbers may not be reachable from outside Australia but can be reached from mobile and fixed-line endpoints.
A mobile user will incur mobile charges from their mobile provider when calling a toll free number.
 
Belgium  
BrazilNumbers are not reachable from outside the country.Company may not be registered in Brazil.
CanadaNumbers are only reachable from within Canada and the lower 48 of the US.
Payphones in the lower 48 of the US cannot reach these numbers.
 
FranceNumbers may not be reachable from outside France. 
GermanyNumbers are not reachable from outside the country.A global address of the end user (place of residence/business) is required.
The address will be substantiated by an objective document showing a link between user and address. See Additional Requirements Information for more information.
IndiaNumbers are not reachable from the following networks: TTSL (Prepaid), Etisalat DB Telecom. 
IrelandNumbers are not reachable from outside the country. 
MalaysiaNumbers may not be reachable from mobile devices.
Numbers may not be reachable from outside the country.
Numbers cannot be assigned to residents or companies registered in Malaysia.
Customer has the obligation to be able to identify users of Malaysian numbers through trustworthy information.
MexicoNumbers are not reachable from outside Mexico.Numbers may not be assigned to companies that have operations in Mexico.
NetherlandsNumbers are not reachable from outside the country.Special process for Toll-Free numbers with Dutch regulator takes at least 6 weeks.
Customer must provide name, address and business purpose for the number.
New ZealandNumbers may not be reachable from outside the country.
Numbers are not reachable from payphones.
 
PhilippinesNumbers may not be reachable from outside the country.
Toll-free numbers can be reached from PDLT landline networks (+70% market share) and SUN and SMART mobile networks (+60% market share). From these networks, the numbers are reachable from all islands, and calls to these numbers are free to the caller.
A single toll-free number can have no more than 50 simultaneous calls.
Numbers cannot be assigned to residents or companies registered in the Philippines.
Customer must provide company name and address at the time of order.
PortugalNumbers are reachable from the following networks: Portugal Telecom, PT Prime, TMN mobile, ONI, Vodafone, Sonaecom - Novis, Colt, G9, ZON.
Toll-Free numbers are not reachable from mobiles.
Sub-allocation restriction.
SpainNumbers may not be reachable from outside the country. 
SwitzerlandNumbers are not reachable from outside the country.
Numbers can be reached from fixed line, mobile, and pay phones within the country.
 
United Kingdom

Additional Requirements Information

The following are valid forms of ID:

  • Government-issued ID cards
  • Passports
  • Driver's licenses

For proof of address, the following must be provided:

  • Business entities must provide the following:
    • An enterprise registration certificate
    • Germany: A Handelsregisterauszug (Commercial Register Extract) or Bescheinigung der Gewerbeanzeige (Certification of the Trade Advertisement) is required.
  • Individual end users can submit the following:
    • A utility bill, provided by a recognized national provider, issued within the last six months
    • Germany: German government issued national ID card or Meldebescheinigung (Registration Card) is required

Inbound Usage

Toll-Free Numbers

Inbound toll-free calls to Global Numbers are billed for a 30-second minimum at 6-second increments. Contact Support for inbound usage rates.

DID Numbers

Global DID numbers include 500 minutes of inbound calls per month. DID minutes in excess of the included 500 monthly minutes are billed for a 30-second minimum at 6-second increments. Contact Support for inbound usage rates.
