A default system prompt is provided for your auto attendants. This prompt is configured by default for all new auto attendants and instructs callers to enter the extension of the party they wish to contact. You can choose to upload your own sound file to use as the prompt for your auto attendant. Auto attendant prompts can be imported into the system using WAV or MP3 file formats with a maximum file size of 2MB and maximum length of 3 minutes.
NOTE: If you would like your prompts to match the voice of the MiCloud system, please contact Worldly Voices at www.worldlyvoices.com and request that “Connie” record your prompts.
For more information about configuring auto attendants, see Configuring Auto Attendants.
Managing Auto Attendant Prompts
The default system prompt is used whenever the auto attendant prompt is set to None. If you want the auto attendant to immediately transfer a caller to another extension or call flow component, you will want to upload a silent prompt so that callers do not hear the system prompt before being transferred. See Immediately Transfer Caller for more information.
To upload a prompt:
- On the auto attendant settings panel, under Prompt, click Upload.
- Navigate to and select the sound file to use as the auto attendant prompt, and then click Open.
The file is converted to the appropriate format and uploaded.
To play a configured prompt:
- On the auto attendant settings panel, under Prompt, click Preview.
- Click ► to hear the prompt.
To download a configured prompt:
- On the auto attendant settings panel, under Prompt, click Download.
- Cick

To delete a configured prompt:

.
The configured prompt is deleted and the prompt is reset to None (uses system prompt).
Immediately Transfer Caller

Otherwise, the default system prompt will play during the specified delay period.
- Click here to download a silent sound file.
- On the auto attendant settings panel, under Prompt, click Upload.
- Navigate to and select the silent sound file, and then click Open.
- Under Interaction, select Take immediate action.
- In the Delay field, enter the number of seconds to wait before taking the specified action.
- Select the action to take in the drop-down list.
