Information

As a MiCloud Administrator, you can map phone numbers to existing auto attendants, hunt groups, and BCAs from the phone numbers inventory page in the Account Console. Mapping phone numbers to call flow components in this way allows you to map multiple phone numbers to the same call flow component. A display name is defined for each phone number that is mapped to a call flow component, allowing the user receiving the call to see which phone number the caller dialed.

NOTE: Numbers associated with the Global Users service cannot be assigned or reassigned to call flow components.

Assigning an Available Phone Number

The assign feature is available only for phone numbers that are not currently assigned to a call flow component and have the status Available or Pending Port In.

NOTE: If the selected number has the status Pending Port In, the number will not receive inbound calls until the transfer is complete.

To assign an available phone number to a call flow component:

  1. On the Account Console menu, click Phone Numbers, and then click Inventory.
  2. To add Domestic Phone numbers, in the page that opens do the following:
    1. Click Quick Actions > Add Domestic Number. The New Local Numbers page opens.
    2. Follow step 2 through step 7 in the Adding Local Numbers section in the Adding Phone Numbers KB Article.
  3. To add Toll-Free numbers, do the following:
    1. Click Quick Actions > Add Toll-Free Number. The New Toll-Free Numbers page opens.
    2. Follow step 2 through step 8 in the Adding Toll-Free Numbers section in the Adding Phone Numbers KB Article.
The phone numbers assigned will be displayed in the Phone Numbers > Inventory page.
